While in earlier versions it showed “some windows of the current session”, it now even provides some details on what is running in multi-purpose processes like svchost.exe. This is a valid question, especially because Task Manager considerably improved over the last years. So, if I want to see programs running on my system, why can I not simply press Ctrl-Alt-Del and start up Task Manager which is shipped with every Windows system?
